I help people understand what comes after 45

Life doesn't get smaller at midlife—it just gets different. I work with Irish adults navigating career shifts, empty nests, and relationship changes to rebuild confidence and find renewed purpose.

How This Started

My Own Turning Point

At 38, I was exactly where I was supposed to be. Successful HR director at a Dublin tech firm, solid salary, all the trappings. Then one Tuesday morning, I realized I'd spent fourteen years helping other people navigate their careers while completely ignoring what I actually wanted.

That realization didn't feel like a gift. It felt like waking up late for something important. I took a risk—left the corporate world, went back to university, and completed my diploma in Life Coaching through the Irish Institute of Professional Counselling. My family thought I'd lost my mind. Maybe I had a little.

But here's what happened: that "crisis" at 38 turned into the most meaningful decade of my life. I spent ten years running workshops and one-on-one sessions across Dublin, Cork, and Galway, working with people just like I'd been—successful on paper but feeling stuck or searching for something deeper. Empty nesters rebuilding after kids left home. Professionals questioning whether they wanted to keep climbing. People grieving relationships that had ended. Those conversations changed everything I thought I knew about midlife.

The real insight wasn't that life gets harder after 45. It's that most of us weren't prepared for how it changes. We're taught to build a career, raise a family, check the boxes. But nobody teaches you what to do when those chapters close and you're still here, still living, still wanting more.

What I Focus On

Areas of Expertise

Every person's transition is different, but the core challenges are consistent. Here's where my work concentrates.

Emotional Well-Being

Anxiety, grief, and identity shifts aren't weaknesses—they're part of the process. I help people move through these feelings without getting stuck in them.

Social Connections

Friendships shift when life circumstances change. Rebuilding connection and creating authentic community after 45 takes intention and honesty.

Finding Purpose

Career success and parenting missions don't disappear—but they do change shape. I work with people discovering what matters most now.

Mindset Shifts

Getting older isn't a problem to solve. Learning to see midlife as an opening instead of an ending changes everything about how you move forward.

Resilience Building

Life throws curve balls at every age. The difference is that after 45, you've got experience. Let's use that to your advantage.

Life Transitions

Career pivots, empty nest, retirement, relationship changes—I've worked with people navigating all of it and understand the Irish context specifically.

My Approach

How I Work

Evidence-Based, Culturally Grounded

I don't believe in generic advice that ignores the Irish context. When you're navigating midlife in Ireland, you're dealing with specific cultural expectations around family, community, and ambition. I understand those pressures because I've lived them.

My approach combines practical, research-backed strategies with genuine understanding of what it's like to be 45+ and Irish. That means acknowledging the importance of connection and community—values that run deep in our culture—while also creating space for individual choice and change.

Honest, Not Inspirational

You won't get empty platitudes here. Life transitions are hard. They involve loss alongside opportunity. Both things are true at the same time. I help people sit with that complexity instead of rushing to fix it.

The resources I create are grounded in years of direct experience—hundreds of conversations with people rebuilding after major life shifts. That's where the real wisdom comes from, not from theory alone.

Practical Over Perfect

Strategies that actually fit into real life, not idealized versions of it.

Honest Conversations

No false positivity. Real talk about what transitions actually feel like.

Culturally Relevant

Resources written specifically for Irish adults, not generic Western advice.

Research Informed

Grounded in psychology, life coaching best practices, and lived experience.

Community Focused

Understanding that connection and belonging matter more after 45.

Strength-Based

Building on what you already know and have survived, not fixing what's "broken."
